The jobs that you can get, and your pay scale will greatly depend on the following:
1. Country of education
2. Is it a degree from an accredited university or technical training from some institution?
3. Are you getting a bachelor’s or a master’s degree?
If you are in the United States, you should refer to the BLS website to get an idea of the different jobs listed under the computer science (or IT) area: http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes_nat.htm#15-0000.
Besides, you should note that getting into IT will mean that a great deal of work is now being done in countries such as India and China. So get ready for some travel if you aren’t already in those countries.
